squeezing life's

creative juices

You find meaning in the creative expression of your inner reality.

This is what we do every day.

Let's make it intentionally. Let's make it fun.

my philosophy on creativity

I believe that creativity isn't just for those who call themselves creatives. To me, we are all creative beings in an ongoing creative exercise: the creation of our lives.

Whether we do it consciously or not, creativity is part of our everyday lives. When we become aware of the impact of our creative choices, we can start to have more fun with how we intentionally want to create our life.

Personally, I have noticed that creativity work for me as antidote to depression and anxiety. Whenever I'm in a creative zone, I feel like I can repair the past and create a brighter future for myself. While having FUN!

Maybe your way to express your creativity is through your cooking, or through your fashion style, or maybe you like to journal your thoughts, or you're starting a new business. Life is full of creative moments and aspirations. Let's then embrace it, and create with love.

A creative life is an amplified life. It’s a bigger life, a happier life, an expanded life, and a hell of a lot more interesting life. Living in this manner — continually and stubbornly bringing forth the jewels that are hidden within you — is a fine art, in and of itself.

How to become more creative

In my personal experience, I have always had a feeling that creativity was restricted to those who called themselves creatives. We have always had a lot of creative work going on around the house, but all those projects were never regarded as "creativity in motion", they were just normal projects and normal life.

I feel lucky to have experienced creativity in this way. But I also believe it's important to become more aware of what creativity is, when we're dedicating time to it, and what it can do for us. So that it doesn't "just happen", but it's something that can be more consciously appreciated, practiced, and developed.

While creativity may seem like a uncontrolled, natural state of doing things, there's much that can influence our capacity to be creative, and much that can be done to inspire creativity. This is what I like to write about.

Making creativity easy

We've all heard talk about the famous writer's block, or the resistance to start or finish creative projects.

When we want to let creativity in, and maybe even get into a state of flow, it's good to remove all obstacles that might be on our way. So if you want to lead a creative life, you better get your brushes clean and ready. That is to say, let's start with clearing your mind.

everyday creativity

From preparing a new recipe, to trying out a new unusual colour on your outfit. Creativity can be expressed in many forms. It's with this mindset that I like to approach different way in which creativity can be invited into our lives in ways that doesn't involve a trip to the art shop.

Creativity is just connecting things. When you ask creative people how they did something, they feel a little guilty because they didn’t really do it, they just saw something. It seemed obvious to them after a while.

personal experiments

Because creativity is many times about experimenting with different things, I have dedicated a section of this blog to some of my own experiments, hoping it might inspire you to venture yourself in some new creative experiences too.
